Achievment Days Activity

For Jane's Achievement Days activity in May, it was a Country Ho Down and all the Mom's were invited! Here the girls are all learning the Electric Slide. Jane looked so cute in her bandana:-) It was a fun night of dancing, making butter, and doing other "country" games.

Eve lost her front tooth-- finally!

After refusing to actually pull her front tooth out, and watching it dangle for a week, Eve finally got her front tooth to come out! It was a celebrated day at our house, believe me!

A Reunion with the Griffin's

Many years ago, we had the good fortune to move next door to a wonderful family that had two beautiful little girls, the Griffins. Mark and I didn't have any children yet, and I loved having Christian and Hanna come over to bake cookies, do crafts, etc. We were so blessed to have the best neighbors you could ask for! A couple of weeks after I found out I was pregnant with Benjamin, Lou Lynne found out she was pregnant with Sara. Our babies were best buddies and played together all the time! Unfortunately we ended up moving away when Anna was only about 9 months old. We have kept in touch over the years, however, and on this day we were so fortunate that Hanna decided to get married in North Carolina. (They now live in Jacksonville, FL.) It was so fun to have a Griffin Reunion! It is so wonderful to have such great friends:-)

Eve's Mother's Day Tea

Eve's class held a Mother's Day Tea for all the mom's today. So sweet! Each of the children escorted us into the classroom, and showed us our seat. They sang a couple of songs that were adorable, and I really wish I had them on video! Then they showed us their books and pictures they had made just for their moms. The kids were so cute. You could tell they had practiced for weeks on how to act "proper," how to sing the songs with all the motions, and how to serve their mother desserts. It was absolutely adorable! We feel so blessed to have Ms. Dell as Eve's teacher! She is wonderful!

Fashion Girl-- Kirsten Style

Eve is always playing "Fashion Girl" and coming up with some 'new look.' Today she wanted to look like Kirsten, the American Girl Doll. I'm not sure the dress was exactly Kirsten style, but she was very proud to show off her hair:-)
